This courtyard garden was built as a part of the bigger feature garden designed for the 1995 Hampton Court Flower Show. The idea was to show what could be done to create a very attractive feature in a small space, 3 metres x 3 metres. The lantern used was a hand carved Japanese 'Oribe' style lantern. On reflection I would have now used a white astillbe in the foreground instead of the red one.
